    There are two types of welding robot production lines.

    The simple one is to connect multiple workstations (units) with workpiece conveying lines. This line still maintains the characteristics of a single station, that is, each station can only use the selected workpiece fixture and welding robot program to weld the predetermined workpiece. Therefore, this line cannot be used to weld other workpieces before the fixture and program are changed.

    The other is a welding flexible production line, which consists of multiple stations that can weld different types of workpieces. Different workpieces are mounted on a uniform pallet, and the pallet can coordinate the positioner of any station on the line and automatically be clamped. The welding robot system first identifies the number of the pallet or the workpiece, and automatically calls up the corresponding program for welding the specific workpiece. This allows each station to weld different workpieces without any adjustments. The welding flexible production line generally has a track sub-car, and the sub-car can automatically take out the fixed workpiece from the storage station and then send it to the positioner of the unloaded welding robot workstation. It is also possible to remove the welded workpiece from the workstation and send it to the outflow position of the finished part. The entire flexible welding line is controlled by a dispatching computer. Therefore, as long as enough workpieces are assembled during the day and placed in the storage station, unmanned or less-man production can be achieved at night.

    The type of automated welding production line that the factory chooses must be based on the actual conditions and merits of the plant. The welding special machine is suitable for large-volume, slow-remolding products with regular (straight and round) shapes and relatively less and longer weld joints; the welding robot system is generally suitable for medium and small batch production and the workpiece with more and shorter weld joints or complicated shapes; The flexible welding line is especially suitable for a wide variety of products with small batch output for each kind.
